Savvik Buying Group is a Minnesota based non-profit corporation serving as a contracting agency for public safety, education and government.
Formed in 1997, Savvik serves over 15,000 agencies participating in all 50 states.
We have the simple goal of providing the equipment and supplies our members need at the industry’s best prices.
Savvik creates national cooperative purchasing solutions on behalf of its member agencies. This includes public safety, government, education, and non-profit agencies nationwide.
These cooperative contract opportunities save our members time and money by consolidating numerous individually prepared solicitations into one national, cooperatively shared process. Our process leverages the aggregation of volume from members nationwide.
Savvik membership is available to public safety agencies both public and private, hospitals, schools, government agencies, and related agencies nationwide. We also offer membership to active first responders even if their affiliated group is not a member yet.
Savvik is governed by our Board of Directors. Our twelve-member board is comprised of public and private first response business leaders from across the nation.
Nothing! There is no cost, no obligation, and no liability required to join and participate in the wonderful things Savvik has to offer. There are no minimum contract purchasing requirements and no commitments for members use of Savvik contracts.
You are free to pick the programs Savvik offers that work for you. We’re here to help you save money, not dictate how you do business.
Nearly all of our large programs are competitively bid. You can see the bid information for a specific vendor by accessing their page on our website while you’re logged in.
When ordering from our vendors, please be sure to mention that you are a current member of Savvik Buying Group and want our Savvik pricing. We’ve done all the work for you in the bidding process!
Savvik does not place these orders for you. Please order your products and services directly through our vendors. Feel free to visit our store to see items that can be ordered directly through our website.
Our vendors realize that responding to Savvik or our sister company Public Safety Association (PSAI) when we send a Request for Bid (RFB) or other solicitations will potentially earn them thousands of sales opportunities.
From these opportunities, vendors pay an administrative fee to Savvik or PSAI. This fee is calculated as a percentage of sales processed through the competitively bid procurement contracts awarded and held by the vendor. This administrative fee is NOT an added cost to the member. This administrative fee covers the costs of contract marketing and facilitation, and offsets operating expenses incurred by Savvik and PSAI.

Yes! Savvik shares the revenue it earns with Local, State and National Association partners. Savvik gives 1/3 of our earnings to our Association partners whose members use participating contracts. Savvik is a nonprofit organization that truly prioritizes making positive impacts on our community.
